أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّوْدَاءِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : تَوَضَّأَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَغَسَلَ ظَهْرَ قَدَمَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : " لَوْلا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى ظَهْرِ قَدَمَيْهِ لَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ بَاطِنَهَا أَحَقُّ "
